22nd April is Earth Day 2020 – the 50th anniversary of the very first Earth Day in 1970 which is credited with launching the modern environmental movement, and is now recognized as the planet’s largest civic event. The theme of Earth day 2020 is climate action and we will be marking it with our “All things Green and Beautiful” supper club on the 24th. The menu (like almost all of our menus!) will concentrate on seasonal and local; will be largely, although not exclusively, plant based; will avoid the nasties like plastic packaging, palm oil, and non fair trade where appropriate.
I’ve written about Climate Change and the appropriate Christian response here, so this is a subject close to my heart, but I am conscious we can all always do more, and so the evening will not only be a celebration of all things green and beautiful but will also include a donation to the Earth Day Network
Price: £35 per head to include a complimentary aperitif and a donation to Earth Day Network…
…and of course double portions of the warm friendly atmosphere you get at all supper clubs and our own unique blend of hospitality!
Fantastic day at Mark David Kitchens today with Mustard Seed making sausages. Would recommend!
