Whether it’s summer and the bushes are full of berries and the garden full of tomatoes, or Autumn and harvest gluts, we love to teach you how to make your own preserves from your seasonal produce.
Seasonal Preserves and Pickles. If you like a really fresh jam, or a great dollop of chutney with your cheese then this is the class of you. Dependent on the produce in season we’ll make a jam or jelly and a pickle or chutney of your choosing for you to take home. We’ll round off the class with a sampling supper of some Mustard Seed favourite preserves and pickles with some cheese and wine. This is a hands on class, which lasts approximately 3 hours over a lunchtime or evening slot.
You can arrange a Preserves and Pickles class for up to a maximum of 6 people, although if you’re just a couple that’s fine, and the price quoted is the total price for all participants. It will include all the ingredients required for your group, the tuition, the recipes for you to take homes and a sit down meal from what we have made. You will take home 2 jars per person.
