Amanda wasn’t sure initially what she wanted and we discussed a canapé party before settling on the rugby theme. The entire rugby team was expected to be there – big hungry strapping lads – and so dainty finger food went out of the window. Amanda decided they needed hearty, filling and uncomplicated dishes. Rhubarb Crumble and Custard was specifically requested and I suggested trying to do something in the teams colours – burgundy and white. Amanda also wanted a couple of staff to man the bar as she expected this to be busy! Bar staff are paid separately dependent on the number of hours required.

Following this brief the menu proposed just offered a couple of choices – a vegetarian option if needed, side dish options and dessert options.
